What's NEW in version 5.0

ZixCorp is pleased to present ZixPort version 5.0. This document briefly describes the new features and enhancements in ZixPort for this release.

ZixMobility

Zix Mobility offers enhanced mobile support for email encryption. ZixMobility has a new redesigned message notification, and support for the leading mobile devices and browsers.

Zix Mobility exceeds conventional email encryption standards for mobile support by offering:

• Seamless encryption as users navigate from desktop to mobile device
• Optimized layouts designed for the user’s environment
• Fully functional navigation maximized for the user’s screen
• Maximum user convenience with no cumbersome steps

Zix Mobility has been validated for use with the following Internet browsers:

• Microsoft® Internet Explorer® version 7.0 and higher
• Mozilla® Firefox® version 4.0 and higher
• Apple® Safari™ version 5.0 and higher

Other Internet browsers that support HTML 4 or higher will be compatible but has not been validated by ZixCorp.

Zix Mobility will function across all major mobile platforms and have been validated for use on:

• BlackBerry® version 6.0 and higher
• Android ® devices version 2.3 and higher
• Apple® iPhone® and iPad® version 4.3 and higher

Message Expiration

Message Expiration is the time that a message is accessible to the recipient. Previously, ZixPort supported message expiration from 7 to 60 days. With this new release, customer's now have the option to set their message expiration from 7 to 365 days. Messages automatically expire after the set period of time. The message expiration date displays in the details of each email message received.
